Goulbourn Hornets U16 Girls Team Lends a Hand at Thanksgiving!

The Goulbourn Hornets U16 Girls Team decided they wanted to do something special in the spirit of Thanksgiving. They headed to the Sir Guy Carleton High School Annual Thanksgiving Dinner to lend a hand. The Goulbourn Hornets U16 Girls Team decided they wanted to do something special in the spirit of Thanksgiving.
They headed to the Sir Guy Carleton High School Annual Thanksgiving Dinner to lend a hand.
The dinner was for anyone in need in the community, including the homeless, the elderly, single parents, and those alone or in need of some companionship. Transportation was provided to and from the dinner by Campeau Buslines and Roxborough Bus Lines free of charge to anyone wanting to attend!
The Hornets were busy at the start of the day, sorting clothing and food donations so all of attendees had a package to take with them after dinner. As they arrived, attendees were greeted and escorted to their seat by a Goulbourn Hornet! The players also helped to serve dinner, chatted with the guests and then bussed the tables.
The girls were thankful to be able to help out with this annual event. The Annual Sir Guy Carleton High School Thanksgiving Dinner has been providing dinner, clothing and food to the less fortunate for over 25 years! When leaving the event the team was already asking if they could attend again next year!
