GBA Bantam Boys Win Mumba Hoopfest!

"The Goulbourn Hornets Major Bantam Boys Team - Ruhamyandekwe competed in the MUMBA HOOPFEST tournament in Markham, Ontario on 20-21 January 2018.
In the round-robin, The GBA boys faced off Stoney Creek in their first game and won 47-38. The second opponent, the Pelham Panthers came out strong and GBA boys fought hard to finish with a nail biter win 53-52. In the last game of the round robin, the third opponent, NR Crazy Catz, couldn't hold the energized GBA machine. The GBA boys won the game 90-32.
Boosted by a 3-0 record, the GBA boys engaged the pool A first-seeded GCBA Wolverines to play an all Ottawa finals. With nine healthy players (...and 2 injuries), it took special skills and resilience for GBA Boys to win this psychological battle and take home a well deserved 60-48 win and the MUMBA HOOPFEST DIVISION 1 GOLD MEDAL. Congratulations boys"
